Description
This is a photograph of a male Mallard duck in a most unusual pose. He has his had resting on his back with his beak up. I have watched these ducks in this flock for a few years and have never seen anything like this before. I don't know if his head itched or maybe it was his back. He got himself in this position and then rubbed his head back and forth on his back. Maybe he was just quacking up? Maybe he was just trying to draw attention to the beautiful feathers on his back. I do love this flock of ducks!

hahahaaa I'd like to find out what your modeling costs are for getting these mallards to pose for you! For it, not too difficult but imagine a human trying that same pose! HA!!
